Speed limits are set based on size. It already takes almost a whole day to cross Texas at 80mph. Imagine how long it would take if it was 60mph.

In MN we have a section of highway that is 45mph because it goes through and VERY rich part of the state and the residence had the money and power to get the speed limit taken down because of “excessive noise”

It wasn’t speed that causes more accidents, but rather too many cars on the road and left lane campers, which is caused by car-dependent infrastructure.

During 2020 summer (COVID) the speed limit of i70 through Utah was 90mph on the signs. I followed a trooper going 110 for at least 40 miles

In California, highway/freeway speed limit is 65mph. But that’s just a reccomendation. If you’re going 70, stay in the far right lane. The other lanes are for everyone going 80+ 😌

Dawg look at the German autobahn less death rate a lot of spots have no speed limits it’s safer to have higher speed limits on some portions and the limits change based on traffic which lets the human nature to get adrenaline legally and way safer
