I was selling my umbreon from prismatic evolutions PSA 10. I didn’t want it so I used for trade bait to get the cards I wanted. I went to the first table and asked them if they willing to trade. I had it comped at 2500 but they wanted to comp on 2100 meanwhile they have one stickered 2700. I just thought that was funny.

as someone who has always wanted to go to a card show, I only hear awful things. not only do we have scalpers, card shop that doubles the price of boosters, now card shows are unrealistic. killing each other

yeah people forget that by buying/selling at a card show, there’s money saved not having to buy/sell over ebay or tcgplayer and paying taxes, fees, etc. i think people get too greedy on both sides

I just start messing with them back, I'll pretend I want to sell them some of my higher end stuff for their ridiculous 75-80%, waste their time and then back out of the deal last second

I am a full time vendor , I do shows 3 times a month, been doing it for years, it’s unfortunate how money hungry people are. Usually the people who vend occasionally have inflated prices, or if it’s a bigger well known show people tend to have them. It’s unfortunate to see how it’s all going at the moment /:

Must be the people in your area. I always get deals and people are always willing to negotiate on price. I’ve even had people do even trades.

I’m a vendor. I don’t sell sealed very often bc I don’t sell off of retail stores. My cards are always tcg market and collectr. I negotiate often. We aren’t all bad and we don’t all sell above market. I am already seeing card show fatigue as well. When buying I have to buy at a higher percentage as well. I buy mostly at 80 to 85 percent in this market. It’s flooded with vendors now. Constant competition to buy as well. I think it’s going to start slowing down for a bit. There seems to be shows almost weekly now. It’s not sustainable.

As a vendor it sucks. Cant do trades with people, cant work with people. Have to compete with some absolutely awful other vendors and people

two fold problem. you're comparing market now to a time SV1 (BASE SET) was selling for less than cost. you're comparing now to a time when there was significantly less ppl buying pokemon.
