Normally it works, you just have to add a little more pressure 😅 you’re bottle is too high compared to your position, try standing out, it will help tremendously ;)

I feel like they used hard wax instead of soft. If it was soft you could 100% do this. Hard wax? They need to put on a pull tab. That’s on them

cut the wax at the lip or under and use the step. it works by creating leverage with the step and honestly my favourite bottle opener of all times once I've learnt how to use it. Highly recommend looking up tutorials or finding a friend who can teach you.

use the knife to cut the wax near the rim instead of using the tip to pick at it

you can open with the wax , can i just say its the user , u really was not opening the correct way, just a tip if ur going to use the cork screw u have used always be standing up as there designed for opening bottles of wine table service style so u sitting there is no enough elavation for the correct process to open bottle
