I’m learning this as we speak. I have extreme anxious attachment and all of my relationships have been like the first example. I’m now talking to a guy who seems very secure and communicates in a relatively healthy way while also still tending to his everyday life and sometimes it feels like he’s not giving me nearly as much attention. But hearing this has me thinking maybe it really is just me and what I’m used to.

Just don’t mistake a dismissive avoidant as a secure man… They present wayyy differently than a fearful avoidant and can seem secure at first
