Dude, just leave. Seriously. We don’t have the right to force change on someone else, and if they wanted to, they would. Let’s normalize accepting that it isn’t working and finding our peace without that person. I’m done begging for the bare minimum.

I was being "managed" and it was offensive to me. i resented that my partner didn't trust me, or was afraid of how I might react if she was her authentic self. I felt manipulated and not like a partner.

I didddd! And let me tell you what happened - I immediately sensed a shift in the home and I felt empowered and less neglected. I stopped vocalizing what I desired because it wasn’t registering to him. Instead, I responded in a way that showed him I was deeply affected. And it’s working so far. ☺️

When I say that (I miss being pursued), he inevitably comes back with “don’t say that. Don’t be a score keeper and tell me all the ways I’ve disappointed you. The response is the same regardless of how gentle the approach is. It’s draining.

He won't listen, to anything or anyone. We don't date nite, we dont have intimacy (at all) we don't talk. There's no communication and im tired of coming after his mommy, entire family (he doesn't see me, his wife as family) employees, lady on the side of the road with flat tire...😒i don't even exsist in his day. But ask him if he's talked to his mom??? dad? brother? BOTH his kids...betting answer is yep!

We get into these tug of wars bc we’re trying to get each other to live by our own belief systems of what a relationship looks like and making each other happy. I’m tired of managing and being managed. We’re just not aligned. If we were, I think this advice may be effective.

"caught trying to get your partner to make changes" Why is it my job to change him? If the change is for me, then state your need and discuss a solution. If the change is for him, explain your concern and discuss alternatives. That quote sounds manipulative and that the man is being infantilized.

I’ve been making changes and he’s kinnnddaaa started changing but barely . I’m 32 he’s 30 and I’ve trusted changing my verbiage and maybe it’s working but i can’t tell…. It’s been 2 yrs and i feel like im waisting my 30s
