I had DACHSHUNDS who all got along great and 2 of them snapped at each other one day. One bit the other so hard his jaw was broken. He ultimately had to be put down. It happens. Has zero to do with breed. I was crushed.

I’ve seen this happen as a vet tech and it’s a huge fear of mine. Sometimes dogs who have been together for years just snap. Not your fault!

It can happen in an instant after years of being together one dog has a bad day then boom . It’s no one’s fault we as humans forget dogs have bad days to. I crate mine when I’m not home and allow them ways to escape if they need alone time and are having a bad day

anyone with large packs should separate when unsupervised. it only takes one of them feeling a little off one time for it to get bad fast. Even with the sweetest dogs that never had a single issue in their life

The terrifying thing is there are still people who think their dog (no matter the breed and temperament) couldn’t flip a switch and attack a baby. Every dog is capable we don’t always know what triggers the violence.

This happened to two of my dogs. They couldn’t even see each other after one fight. They were best friends before that. It was so hard.

Any breed will do this. It’s a dog thing. I’ve seen it happen in breeds it wouldn’t be expected

I lost one of my dogs this way. I had 4 pits and they got in a fight over a stick. Then they all attacked one dog. It was the most traumatic thing. I lost my love for my dogs that day. A love I’ll never get back.

I have two large dogs who are literally best friends but they have gotten in a few fights over the years and it is so damn scary. The sound of a dog fight is like no other especially when it’s your babies. All it takes is for something to be a little off and they can snap unfortunately

I think people forget dogs can have bad days. They also get headaches, overstimulated, and grumpy and that’s all it takes. Especially large dogs should have their own individual spaces❤️

Dog fights are SO TRAUMATIC for both the babies and us. Mine attacked my mom’s dog FIVE YEARS ago and I still am on edge every time any other dog is around us. My heart hurts for you guys! I would have sold the house too🥺💓

My echo turned on my theo in 2023. he had a neurological defect we didn't know about. the rescue who took him diagnosed him. I haven't been the same since I lost them. I loved echo but I just couldn't keep him around after that. I'm crying just typing this, I miss my boys 💔😢

Our bulldog/pit just killed our 7 month old mini dachshund and I can’t bring myself to walk down that hallway anymore. We lost both our girls that day. We had to put her down after what she did.

As an owner of 5 pits it’s scary to think things like this happen. & they do no matter the breed. No matter how much you know your dog(s) they too have rough days. Only time I allow my dogs all out at the same time is if my husband and son are home.
