@createdtobebeautifulrae: Smothered Beef Neckbones **Recipe** 2 packs beef neckbones 2 potatoes (optional) Onion Celery Green bell pepper Red bell pepper Minced garlic 1/4 stick butter 1/2 cup flour 4 cups beef broth 1 onion soup mix packet Bay leaves Ground sage Italian seasoning Nature's seasoning Meat seasonings: Browning seasoning Kinder's AP seasoning Kinder's The Blend Smoked paprika Onion powder Garlic powder Pepper Clean neckbones. Soak in bowl of water with vinegar, lemon or lime juice, and salt for 30 mins. Rinse until water runs clear. I seasoned and marinated overnight, but you can cook right away. Heat a little oil to pot and sear meat on each side for 4 to 5 mins. Remove from pot and add butter and veggies. Add a little red wine vinegar to help deglaze. Cook for a few minutes, add garlic, and cook until fragrant. Add flour, cook for another 3 to 4 minutes, and add beef broth. Next add onion soup mix packet, seasonings, and mix well. Add meat back, along with bay leaves. Bring to boil, turn heat down to low, and simmer covered for 3.5 to 4 hours. If you are adding in potatoes, wait until the last 30 mins of cook time. #smotheredneckbones #beefneckbones #neckbones
