You know, I would play in the mud and have a best childhood ever, but I could not stand the texture of mud like when it’s like it’s water state it’s fine but when it’s dry, I hated the texture. I hated the feeling. I would cry if I felt it.

Find a lot of tiny rocks and use the mud as concrete and rocks as bricks n make lil houses I used to do it as a kid all the time lol 🙏😭

you should give the play area/clay a slight mist before playtime! it's not a huge deal but dried clay can turn into dust and may get into the lungs and cause irritation. it's a precaution I take as a ceramics artist that may benefit this set up if y'all play out there enough!

After straining the rocks you could always add soil so they have more to play with at a time but when it drops it will add nutrients to your soil yard and make your grass healthier!

Now I do think this is a creative way to not waste money, but the whole point of the mud kitchen is the mud being mixed with the flowers and other stuff to make it more realistic for the kids and spark there creativeness and curiosity to cooking and other things. But as always you do you and just take that the point of mud kitchens are to spark creativity and curiosity to new things.

my dad used to yell at me and my sisters for playing in the mud cuz it's a 'boy activity' so when I have kids of my own no matter of the gender they can play in the mud. love this so much
