a store wont stop you because of the cart, they wills top fot high ticket or high theft items, unbagged items, or if you have bigger items under a cart( most forgetten about items)

if you do "scan and go" they dont always stop you. the poles you walk through scans your cart. there's been multiple times they've told me to keep walking 🤷🏼♀️

i work at sam’s for everyone confused the new arch does scan all ur items so they don’t have to stop u BUT sometimes it can’t verify depending on how ur stuff is stacked so when it can’t verify the exit door staff is alerted to manually scan u out
