Not all disabilities are visible! I get the “look” all the time, had the cops called on me for parking in handicap space with a placard. I have MS, chronic nerve pain and balance problems. Looks can be deceiving. Know your facts before passing judgement.

in washington they send a card to keep with you that's its registered to you. Just because I dont "look" disabled doesn't mean im not. the VA says other wise.

if my disabled wife is in the car, I'm parking in the spot. she might need to go in. without her, I do not park there or abuse her placard.

the Port of Portland let's people get away with illegal use of disabled parking at the airport. When I was a cashier at the exit booth we were not allowed to ask for ID to verify that it was their placard

I don’t get handicapped spots at big stores or malls. Your close to doors but walk around said big store or mall. If you ride cart, you’re good but if you don’t, being close doesn’t really mean anything.

hip replacement t at 36. arthritis full coverage back with herniated disc's throughout bone fragments floating in ankle. can only walk around for maybe 20 minutes at Walmart or Costco. don't look messed up but will be in too much pain when leaving.

Problem is the cardholder isn't using the parking space another person is. My city makes you present the person. if you can't, you get ticket.

I reported a plaque that was being used and was expired for 3 years And the police officer never issued a citation . He just ignored it.

All people with disabilities don't look the same, I have lupus, RA and several surgeries on my ankles. So it's hard to walk sometime. I don't look like I need it but I do.

Just for the record, not all disabilities are visible. Just because there is a wheelchair painted on the ground does not mean you have to be in a wheelchair. Only a doctor can determine if you qualify. The person that is listed on the placard or plates needs to be in the vehicle to use handicap spaces. Do better people.

Not all disabilities are visible!!! I'm s disabled veteran with a broken back and a prosthetic leg. Nobody can tell. I run cross country races. I get out of my car and walk right in the store.
