I did research between kindle and Kobo and Boox and decided to go with Boox Go, best decision ever. Kindle and Kobo use their own eco system so you are stuck. With Boox you can download from kindle and really just anywhere, there's no eco system to be had with Boox. 👌

When my Kindle dies, I will not get another one, simply because I don't want to support Amazon. Also, with the Kobo and other ereaders that support Bluetooth keyboards, you can buy a mini keyboard and use that to wirelessly turn the page. Can't do that on a Kindle.

it's actually insane how many readers gravitate towards Kindle when its whole existence is like the antithesis of most of the common principles of a reader. Like, how do you like 1984, or Fight Club, or Hunger Games, etc. then support and gush over Amazon

my main problem in kobo(even tho i want to switch from kindle to kobo, since it offers a lot more features) is that they have no app(?) i think, unlike kindle where you can just upload the epub on your kindle app and it’ll sync easily, or am I wrong?😓

I’ve had the kobo, a kindle and a boox. I love the kobo but a possible deal breaker for me is the screen isn’t flush. The actual screen is recessed and dog hair CONSTANTLY gets stuck between the bezel and the screen. Kindle is flush but I hate their ecosystem and UI.

🤔I think kobo is great… when you stay in a country where its full potential is utilised. In South Africa you cant use Libby or overdrive on Kobo (it’s not supported here) making KU more accessible
