Yall are blaming America when America was a friend of Iraq and gave tons of military equipment, then you claim that Iran was the destroyer of Iraq when Iraq declared war on Iran first and after the coalition left iraq Iran began to aid iraq and promote Shi’a influence. The only acceptable people you could blame for Iraqs downfall were the Khaleeji and Saddam. The Kuwaitis in particular did not adhere to the OPEC agreements and began to mass produce and sell oil which brought its price down tremendously which hurt Iraqs recovering economy, and furthermore, when Saddam asked if they could forgive the debts and Iraq would permit that they mass sold the oil, they declined his offer and continued the selling of oil. Now Saddam could of course have gathered other opec countries to condemn Kuwait and possibly impose sanctions on their oil until they complied, or any other diplomatic means, but instead Saddam declared another war but in Kuwait. Now if Saddam had just beaten up Kuwait, took some oil then left then maybe Iraq wouldn’t be in the situation it is today, but he decided to overstay his visit and 40 world powers came together to topple the 4th largest and strongest military in the world. Saddam and Khaleeji greed are the main culprits for the demise of Iraq. Iran and America reacted to Iraqi aggression.
