We has a terrible heat dome. I took my garden hose, removed the regular nozzle, attached a brass plant mister, snaked it up our pear tree rhen turned on the tap. This produced clouds of drifting cold mist for the song birds in our yard. A vast number of birds showed up and sat on the tree branches for a drink and bath.
