Barricade with a chain for one in to the other, hang the sign in the middle of the chain.move it when you are ready to get out.

get maybe 6-8 plastic bollards, place them 2 feet apart and then get fluoro tape, to hold them in like a boundary. actually, I think you enjoy hassling them otherwise you would have done something earlier.
