Ok but even if SW was completely optional and all SWs were privileged OF models, it would still be wrong. Capitalizing and monetizing on every aspect of humanity is harmful. And it only serves men.

Imagine how the children of those mothers feel knowing that there’s someone out there who is more powerful then them and can abuse their mother anytime he wants and she’ll have to bear through it and how guilty the mom feels knowing her children have to go through that

People who are so uneducated and out of touch that they conflate trafficking with SW shouldn’t be speaking on this topic. “SW will never be liberating”- who the f**k are you to decide what another person finds liberating? Your “feminism” only exists to increase the privilege that you already have. The “liberating/empowerment” argument is a very privileged one. We’re too busy worrying about surviving the stigma and legislation created by people like yourself that gets us k!ll3d and incarcerated to discuss “liberation” and “empowerment.” You’re putting your ideology over the lives of marginalized women and it’s disgusting. Where I’m from, girls dropped out of school because we were getting sh0t on the way home. At my last 9/5 job women were quitting if they were scheduled to work the night shift because of the crime rate of our neighborhood. The university down the street instructs its students to not interact with the people who lived in the neighborhood. I could see the ivory tower out of my window that had bullet holes in it. So close but so far. When our lives vary drastically by class, so do our priorities. If you really cared about marginalized women, you’d be talking about pew pew violence, food insecurity in the food desert I was raised in, unaffordable housing, lack of affordable addiction, mental health, and physical health care, childcare, education, all of the things that are a real “bullet aiming straight to the head”-you calling choice feminism a “bullet aiming straight for the head” because some choice feminist understand that financial independence can in fact be liberating is incredibly offensive and disrespectful.

THANK YOU. The literal whole point of feminism is to remind people that there is more complexity and humanity to women than just sexuality. Having a choice to do sex work isn’t feminism, before the feminist movement, women already had the option of doing sex work.
