It’s OK to politely request them not to pumice in that in that area or anything else you don’t like. I usually request no sharp tools bc I don’t wanna bleed by getting cut. They should be always happy to oblige.

No. This has never happened to me. But take a page out of my nearly 50 yo book. Tell them to stop. When they try to massage my shins, ultimately bruising me, I say no, thank you but no. And I don’t need a scalding towel there either. Just focus on the toenails.

They always angle the pumice to where it hits the back of my heel (where you typically get blisters from shoe rub). They also want to massage my shins. Bones don't need massaging!!!!

I have a toe ring tattooed on my toe. The lady used that hard thing to scrub my TOE!! I was like it’s a tattoo, it’s not going anywhere!! It was probably one scrub away from breaking skin🤦🏻♀️
