@travfossils: Okay let's talk about it... how does a pebble = Elasmosaur? That's a bit of a stretch isn't it? For starters, pebbles have never been found in these fine silty layers! Well actually some have - and they've all been identified as gastroliths. Elasmosaurs are known to have swallowed pebbles for digestion and buoyancy control, so that's the only way it could've been carried out here. These pebbles become smooth and polished grinding around inside its stomach, a trait this pebble certainly has. I think that's enough evidence to say it's from an Elasmosaur, right?
