I think what worries me is knowing these techniques only holds the rhetoric back for a while. We can still be brainwashed even when we know it's happening when there's a tidal wave of messaging.

There are plenty of us who can see right through the vocabulary. We know what is happening. The problem is how do we stop it?

The critique is valid at the rhetorical-psychological level but incomplete. It abstracts language from operational realities, treats justification as inherently manipulative, and ignores both legitimate strategic needs and the agency of critically engaged publics.
