so what the landlord just admitted to is that his property cannot properly withstand the basic needs for his tenants. so he needs to pay to have them in a hotel until the building can be updated with central air

Here’s a solution landlords put those shelf things up. You can’t tell someone they can’t have an AC, especially if they’re the one paying for the electricity.

Get a portable AC unit, nothing sticks out of the window, it just has a hose that connects and pushes the hot air outside
