@exploring_meleana: I love this scene of dialogue between Laurie Metcalf and the late Mark Blum in Desperately Seeking Susan (1985). It is fine piece of writing. One of the keys to great dialogue in my opinion is unfocused dialogue (in terms of plot). There is an art to getting it right; this sweet spot of conversation is where our characters take life. I just image this scene written out in the script and the details of it are so witty and clever, yet alsp simply real.
