My grandma lived in Seaham and passed on the 3rd of June. We’d go visit her and then go down the beach and collect sea glass. Last time I went to visit her, I found a little pottery piece in the shape of a heart. That has to be a key memory

Great haul! If you come back to the north east anytime you should check out the beach at easington colliery, just down the coast from Seaham, it feels like a private beach most of the time as not many people go there and the glass is bigger as it isn’t picked as much, not many multis though!

I’ve lived half an hour’s drive from Seaham my whole life. I’ve gone sea glass hounding on Seaham beaches since I could walk. Not been for a long time though… taking this video as my sign I need to go back and see what beauties I can find.
