Depends on the disability. Yours is fine for sure. Blindness is an automatic no. Deafness would be insanely hard, but I guess it possible to be a pathologist or a radiologist, however, getting your training would be tough from people who can’t sign.

my rheumatologist also has a rheumatic autoimmune disease and I've NEVER felt so seen, so heard, so understood. we need doctors like us, to understand us.

People don’t realize that A LOT of doctors have acute and chronic illnesses that may or may not be apparent/visible. Or, that their close family or friends have too. Many times these things are the reasons why they go into medicine!
