We were told black ink only in patient charts. When we got to clinicals if you got caught putting a mark in a chart in any other colour you were sent home & lost credit for that day. Same for dress code violations.

I hate blue pens. Unless I'm doing some kind of colour coding and using multiple different colours, I will always use Black.

I find it hilarious as a teacher being told not to write/mark work in red pen as it could mean that the student disregarded what is written as they automatically think it’s a bad thing so we moved to purple pen for marking

Black ink always. Unless abroad on vacation and doing a handwritten piece (postcard, thank you note etc) then blue ink. I personally don’t like blue ink but that’s the rules
