I’m 32 weeks and he feels so abstract still. I don’t feel very connected or at least not in the way I thought I was supposed to. I think it’s completely normal to not completely love someone you’ve never met before. I think it’s normal even after the baby is born too because that’s a stranger baby lol. Maybe it’s our way of protecting ourselves in case something were to go wrong at the very end. Either way, I don’t feel bad that I have a different relationship with my pregnancy than others do. It’s all normal and your feelings were valid.

I have felt this exact same way since I got a positive test in November. Doubts across the board. First pregnancy was so easy and this one had been soooo hard. Baby is coming Thursday via C-section and I’ve never had more doubts and fears.

Thank you for opening up about this 🫶🏻 25 weeks with our first baby and I’ve struggled the entire time. I don’t recognize myself in the mirror, enjoy anything I used to love, and feel so sad and lost. It’s like a countdown to the day he arrives and knowing I’ll begin to feel like myself again and feel the endless love for him. I know it will get better, but gosh is it brutal.

I really needed this….. I’m 38 weeks pregnant and miserable and keep having mental breakdowns telling my husband I can’t do this…. Feeling guilty for how I feel….Everyone else is so happy including him but I’m just disassociating trying to get through…..

Yes I felt this with both my pregnancies, I was shocked especially with my 2nd pregnancy I thought I’d be so connected while pregnant bc I knew the feeling I was going to feel when she came but no it wasn’t until I gave birth again

I’m coming up on 17 days left until my c section and every second I’m with my first born son 18M I feel remorse that I will be forced to have to split my love between the two and its making me feel guilty. I’m scared to lose my time with my first born and it makes me feel horrible.

I HATED being pregnant because I was sick until the day I gave birth. I thought something was wrong with me because I wasn’t enjoying it. I was so ashamed. Now my (almost) 7 month old is my bliss. I love her more than life.
