my partner is a stay at home dad and I'm always being asked "and dad handles that ok?" he fkn better, he begged for that role. he loves being the stay at home and finding fun new things to do.

Me when my partner regularly goes away for work 6 weeks at a time and no one blinks an eye but when he OFFERS to take care of her so I can go on a 2 week holiday because I haven’t spent a single second away from my baby since she was born everyone thinks I’m abandoning my child 😄

our sons are 19 & 17, my husband used to basically fight me to feed them, change them, play with them etc...now we have 2 well adjusted young men in our house....good fathers are so important for every child 🧡

My son’s father was absolutely an amazing dad. Then 5 months in went from a loving boyfriend and father, to and aggressive person who neglected our son (he relapsed) and now I’m stuck trying figure out what to do😭

I’m pregnant and asked my partner if when the baby comes he’ll watch the baby so I can go get my nails done and he was so offended and said “I’m not watching or babysitting my child, I am their parent” and I’ve never heard more of a green flag in my life .. just like he’ll never ask me to “watch our child” it’s just an assumed role as a parent but too many men get put into this secondary parent role

My MIL had terrible time explaining thay my FIL was taking care of my hubs when she returned to work 6 wks postpartum and had to immediately go away on work travel…this was 1980-sad to see people still are shocked at dads being parents🤦🏻♀️
