9 months of dust, decisions and learning as I go. What started as an auction gamble is slowly becoming a home. There’s still a long way to go, but looking back… I’ve already come so far🤩 When I first became newly single, I did question whether taking on a project of this size by myself was the right decision. But I’m so glad I did. This house motivates me every day. It’s reminded me that I’m capable of far more than I sometimes give myself credit for, and most importantly it’s shown me just how hard I’m willing to work for something I care about. We don’t often stop and say we’re proud of ourselves, but this project has really made me realise that when I set my mind to something, I give it everything. With the new Channel 4 show coming out soon, and some amazing brand collaborations in the pipeline, it’s also incredibly rewarding to feel like other people are recognising the hard work that’s gone into this too☺️ There’s still so much left to do, but the upstairs is so close to being fully plastered now and I can honestly say I’ve loved every part of the process so far. There’s something really empowering about picking up the tools, doing a job yourself, and then stepping back and thinking… wow, I actually smashed that💪🏼 My favourite job so far has to be stripping the roof back over the August bank holiday weekend last summer. The weather was amazing, the vibes were high, and the progress happened so quickly it was unbelievably satisfying. Plus it was actually pretty fun being up that high… even if it did feel slightly sketchy at times on the roof ladder! Thank you so much for all the love and support you’ve shown me along the way. I genuinely feel so lucky to have such an amazing community behind me 🥰💖
