it's not registered in New York. It doesn't have to comply with NY regulations unless it's registered to NY. some states don't require inspection stickers. you gonna ticket them for not having an inspection sticker when driving through NY? No!

If you are traveling through one star but registered in another star you abide by your state law unless you’re in that state for extended period of time. Been through this too many times for different things

it's legal if you traveling and u have the right papers work u can travel thru NY you need an inspection most states don't so if you travel to NY that would be illegal according to him this cop is wrong small town doesn't run into it much doesn't know the rules
