@luckydragonsupperclub: Braised pork belly to add to your rotation✨ A Balinese-style Babi Kecap powered by one of my favourite pantry staples, Kecap Manis by ABC Sweet Soy Sauce. 🇮🇩 Authentically Indonesian and the No. 1 sweet-soy brand in Australia, ABC Sweet Soy Sauce is made with coconut sugar, bringing you that sweet and savory depth with a hint of smoky, malty toffee. The below serves 4: Parboil 800g pork belly in water with a few ginger slices and 2 spring-onion stalks for 10 min, then drain. Once cool, slice pork into 1 inch pieces Saute 8 garlic cloves and your favourite warm spices until fragrant over medium heat. I used 2 cloves, 1 star anise and ½ cinnamon stick. Add pork, then season with 4 Tbsp ABC Sweet Soy Sauce (kecap manis), 1-2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp white pepper, ½ tsp salt. Once the pork has caught some colour, top with water to just cover. Simmer on low 1-1½ hr. If it has reduced quickly, simply add some more water. Once the sauce is reduced and the pork is tender and sticky, serve hot over white rice with a spoonful of sambal.
