Lewis and Williams knew each other, and Williams had threatened Lewis' life before. Williams reportedly beat Lewis so badly in a September 2024 altercation that Lewis spent months in the ICU. That assault case was set to go to trial next month. Now, Williams is charged with murder, accused of returning on a motorcycle and opening fire on Lewis after he refused to drop the charges. Williams was arrested on June 23, and is being held on $10-million bond. Brian’s mother called him “her rock”—a devoted son, husband, and father figure to the kids at his wife’s daycare. His death has devastated his family and shaken the Beaumont community.
