as a parent, I can attest to this. kids are incapable of being bored anymore. they have no imagination and dont know what to do with themselves when they're bored.

So many parents defend the ipad. Its insane. I saw a post on parents flying with kids and ALL the young parents defended an ipad. Anyone who says “do you have kids?” Doesnt want to be a parent. They have no common sense. Generations flew for decades without ipads, even ipods. Heck i didnt have an ipad when i flew as a kid. I had an ipod but it was so basic. I flew 10 hours without an ipad as a kid. Parents will defend the ipad like they cant entertain their own kids

my 2 almost 3 year old newphew knows how to unlock the ipad, knows the tiktok and youtube app icon and also know how to skip ads in youtube however he can't even speak a single word, not even dada or mama lmao

I'm a Millenial and I could not agree more! I did not get my first iPhone until I was 18. Before that it was a Nokia used only to contact family. Texting and calling is all I needed to stay safe and in contact

wrong. you don't HAVE to give it to them. my daughter understands that if she catches an attitude like that over the iPad she loses it immediately. it is a good skill for kids to learn how to navigate tech in today's world. you just have to have that balance

It’s easy for people to just sit there and preach all these ‘do nots.’ But tell me, have they ever had to take care of a baby while also doing the laundry and all the other chores? Sometimes you just need 20 minutes to regain your sanity, so yes, you let your 8-month-old watch something on the phone. That doesn’t make you a bad parent.

We let our kids use their tablets until they get tired, and then they will play with their toys or each other. My wife is an elementary teacher, and our kids know their letters, numbers up to 20, colors, and can even write their name, and even a lot of sight words by the time they enter kinder. They're also very well-behaved. We live in an age of technology, and you want them to live like pre-technology. Even schools use tablets for lessons the way we used computers in the 90s.

Too late my friend I went to the doctors the other day. There must’ve been eight children ages from one to 15. They all had iPhones and iPads in a doctor surgery. All of them even the mothers. It keeps him quiet. It keeps him engaged. It keeps him focused.

im a parent i believe in balance in life because unfortunately u cannot take away gadgets from them as schools are doing everything on those tablets to giving them homework through it as well. so yes we have the right to give them screen time accordingly. moderation and balance for kids works well.
