I do two additional things. I add a dryer sheet prior to sealing the bag. And I place it on the floor and put my knees on the bag to help flatten it a little more. I swear it helps.

I did this and fit a lot into my suitcase. Just remember it will be heavy. Removing air doesn’t decrease the weight.

I just buy gallon freezer bags. I fold my son's clothes in it and then I tightly roll it up before sealing it. then it is nice and flat with nect to no air in it. since this thing only comes with 5 bags of each size, that's super unhelpful. for a 5 day trip with a young child, I need 10-12 bags. 5 core outfits for each day, an extra outfit for each driving day, 2 pajamas, and 1-3 more extra sets.

Compression bags are great for making extra room but keep in mind the weight is still the same and if you go over the 50 lbs on a big suitcase you’ll be paying the extra price it happened to me. I saved so much room that I was able to pack extra bags but the weight was not reduced!!!

Girl I packed 8 clothes, 2 pj's, socks and some other stuff in 1 carry-on for a 2 week vacation and I still had room to take stuff back home with me on my personal.

I’ve been packing like that since the early 90’s. Each kid had a full set of clothes in a bag each day of the trip. End of the day the dirty clothes went back in the bag to get them home.

Just add the travel iron/steamer in some of that space you’ve saved and you’re all set! My travel iron/steamer is on my top 5 travel needs list.
