Why aren’t all exterior doors swing out instead of in? I feel like it’s harder for a burglar to pull open a door vs kicking in.

Skip measuring the door slab. Measure the frame. Door slab size isn’t gonna matter if you’re just measuring the door frame. If the door frame fits, so won’t the slab.

Huh. In Aus we tell how a door is "hung" by facing it from the side the hinge is visible and whichever side the hinge is on is how the door is hung. If the hinge is on your left it's a left hung door. so the knob is on the right.
