@i2c_jason: Join me for a startup founder’s whiteboard session! Would love your help architecting the future of man you factoring! What do you want from this site? #startup #founder #money #ai #job #engineering #developer
this is phenomenal, it could give way to making new tools and systems, i love this!!!!!

Building the site isn’t hard. Getting vendors and engineers on board without some sort of cash flow already will be. I know some python and Linux but use ai heavily for help to build programs/tools.

This is amazing. Do you think custom automotive parts would be to far out of the box thinking?

1st: the issue with ai generating step files, (and why we haven't seen this already) is that the "learning process" is too difficult for current?/any? neural net to run

in your chain you should include firms that specialize in filing patents. Having a patent "Pending" is often enough to get started.

will there be a place in this community for people who don't have 3d printed stuff but may have ideas available to offer?

Andrew :
So a person with a 3D printer could be their own micro manufacturer. Have an account and you get an order to print a part and mail it. Payment terms arranged however

In my experience the problem a customer *thinks* they have is most often not the problem they *actually* have, and without an engineer in the process to figure that out a system like this will actually make more problems. Are the intended users engineers or the general public?

In the sense that ideas become IP agnostic you could have the AI end up generating the same or very similar designs from different prompts.
A fascinating idea

wait so how are we imagining proces get set? if the work is not bid on, it seems like you'd need something akin to how rideshares offer up work, taking network effects into account as well as parameterized the work

Sounds like a cool site. What all can we customize through them? My parts needed are pre built devices.

Essentially you’re trying to build a digital version of a prototyping lab with ai and people/vendors like ion prototyping lab in Houston Texas. Sort of.

Genuinely a great idea, I don’t have an engineering background. Was trying to use chat for something and was surprised it couldn’t make a step file. It’s a real opportunity, following along.

Is Promptly3d a paid service or free to use? I'd love to build some cases for all my electronics hobby projects but I am not very good with CAD!

I work at a high precision tooling company and we’d love to be on the fulfillment side with the manufacturing. We’ll be watching for when the site drops!

I keep loving this idea, is PCBway going to be a huge competitor or is there a major difference that makes it more effective? Also, making it so you can link your Shopify store may help it be more social media focused

I like it! I’m currently learning to design cause I want to print parts but I make more money coding and running my companies so the designing gets me my parts but truly, I’m paying much more than if I used a service like yours. Love it!!!
