No the blue thing is legit!! Especially in choirs and as singers, sometimes a director will tell you to sing something in like the color yellow and everyone just kinda gets it

It’s amazing how many people say “you just need to feel it,” when the point here is that music theory is useful for communication between musicians. “Blue” and “floating” mean something to them, but just a little shared terminology would make it easy for the others to know.
