![@longsongmelbourne , Melbourne CBD Located atop of one my favourite Asian fusion restaurants in Melbourne CBD, @longrainmelbourne ! Longsong is a part of the Scott Pickett group and a passion project between the Head Chef and Bar Manager. The bar itself used to be old horse stables, hence the rickety floor which gives it an amazing feel. An overview of everything we had: ✨ Grilled Scallop in a half shell with peanut satay butter & coriander: perfectly cooked, loved the satay sauce ✨ Prawn Roll x2: the sauce omg the sauce, a perfect roll ✨ Fried Calamari: so crispy and light, an absolute highlight ✨ Fried Cauliflower: loved how much crispness the veg still had, loved the addition of the lotus chips & cashew nut cream which paired perfectly ✨ Gai Yang Issan (grilled chicken thigh, tamarind & burnt lemon)- a must must get, still dreaming about this, the char on the outside and the chicken itself was so succulent ✨ Kor Moo Yang (grilled pork neck, spicy nahm jim jaew): my friends fave of the two cuts of meat, for people who love pork! I loved this too! 🍸 Clarified Thai Milk Tea, Snake in the Stable, Keeping it Cool & On the Flip Side: my favourite cocktails were the clarified milk tea which was TO DIE FOR and a more sweet cocktail and the on the flip side with clarified watermelon & tequila- DELISH! I wasn’t in love with the keeping it cool one as I felt it was missing more pazaz & flavour! The food was amazing, the cocktails were awesome and we thoroughly appreciated the awesome knowledge about the cocktails themselves from our lovely bartender! The bar itself is so moody, a perfect date night spot, group hangout etc with a DJ!
