Ever since I was young, art has always been one of my favorite hobbies. It wasn’t until last year when I took a Watercolor House Portraits class that I learned my love for watercolor and started to create and sell watercolor pet portraits (you can see some of my work My friends at SkillPop followed along on my journey and one day say “Kristen, why don’t YOU teach a watercolor class?” The thought had never crossed my mind because for whatever reason, I don’t really consider myself a ~*professional artist *~ Last week, I had my first class and the feedback that I got from my students was extremely validating. 🥹 This is your sign to stop gaslighting yourself — You can be whatever you want to be, even if it feels weird to say (“I’m an artist” feels SO weird for me). I hope to see you all at my next Watercolor Fruit Market class on Thursday, March 27th at 6:30PM at Lost Worlds. Tickets are first come, first serve and those on the newsletter get FIRST dibs!
