Back in high school, my teacher always let us keep our phone out to record what he was teaching so that we could go back and take the thorough notes that we needed in order to pass, love that teacher forever

Its subscription based yall. most lectures are at least 1hr long. and the "free" plan only let's you do 5hrs per month. not really worth it especially since your all ready paying for the device

do he careful, a lot of states restrict using these devices. especially if the teacher allows questions (can't record other students) unless you have an accommodation letter.

Recently, they’ve added that you shouldn’t be recording lecture, unless given permission. I just put my voice recorder on my iphone on and set my phone down or put in my pocket and then end the recording when I’m done with class. I can listen to it later or maybe it take notes that I might’ve missed.

I record always, even when they don't allow, and then take it to my room to play and transcribe and then I delete it. They are worried about it being passed around or getting in trouble for using derogatory or unfavorable language in class. Like bro I don't care how many times you make weird comments or cuss-- I had OCD I needed to make my notes detailed and pretty😭🙏😑
