No actual "savings" but we own 6 rental homes at 36 and hope to have at least 5-10 more before we're ready to retire and that income should be 🤌

I’m 48 and we are pumping most of our money into a brokerage account, maxing 401k is great but if you want to retire early, you can’t draw from that 401k so def put money into brokerage too.

I’m 32 with about 90k in my 401k. I regret not opening up a Roth IRA in my 20s but plan on opening one as soon as I have my fully funded 6 month EF which should be Jan/Feb 2026. I have no debt but still live with parents

I’m 44, I’ve always had a salary on the lower/average end. I was a single mom for quite a few years. I have about $20k in debt which is a personal loan, no car loan, about $123,000 left on my mortgage. I started saving for retirement almost 21 years ago. I have about $290,000.

Omg I wish I had retirement. I used an old 401k to buy a house. I have less than 20k but I do now put like 6% of my check into my latest 401k. I’ll catch up once debts are paid? Maybe? If life allows us to do that 😂

I'm 46, having paid that off is incredible and you should be proud of yourselves. also comparison is the thief of joy. you are where you are. start investing slowly and you can build on that. Rome wasn't built in a day but credit card debt can be.

I would also make sure you have multiple types of emergency funds to make sure you don't slip into debt again. I'd do 1K per car, 2K for your house, 1k per person in house, and at least 6 months of expenses

I’m turning 32 next month and I’m behind. Finished paying off $107K of student loan debt in the beginning of March and now I have just over $33K in my retirement. My goal is to max everything out this year 🤞

I’m 30 and have 28k in a 401k. I’m currently on the debt free journey and have paid off 20k in 5 months and have another 38k (student loans) left to go. I’m hoping I can have it paid off in a little less than a year. I’ve limited my investments for now so I can max invest in a year or so
