So I have RA, Hyperthyroidism, and Graves. I have 3 kids and pregnancy is like a “Immunosuppressant” when it comes to autoimmune as I was told by my doctor because I didn’t have any sign or symptoms while pregnant it’s like I never had it all. Just want to encourage you to start your family if you really want to 🩷

My sister has severe Graves’ with hyperthyroidism. She has 4 children - each pregnancy she goes into remission. I hope this is helpful to you. My sister was diagnosed at 17 and I was diagnosed at 44.

I have graves. my antibodies were so high and I fell pregnant sooner then expected and I see the endo team at the hospital I'm off all meds and my levels and antibodies are going down! it will come back after bub but during the second and third trimester it goes away. if you have it you just have alot of extra appointments during pregnancy. speak to your specialist and if you fall pregnant just know it will be ok. my baby is growing perfectly healthy and is active as ever

I was diagnosed with Graves ' Disease in 2019 and was put on medication which allowed me to live a happy, healthy life. My partner and I tried to have a baby even with me having Graves' disease but had to stop because I needed to have surgery to get my thyroid removed. You can still have a happy healthy baby with Graves 🌻

This can be managed comfortably. Do you see a naturopath? It has so much to do with the gut 🙏 all the best

Please everyone do your research around thyroid surgery!! I ended up with permanent hypoparathyroidism (hypocalcemia) and arguably the struggles I’ve endured have been just as bad as when I had very severe Graves’!!! Potential complications are very much brushed off by doctors & surgeons however complications with your calcium post surgery are high risk and many end up with permanent hypoparathyroidism. Still haven’t got my calcium levels correct 2 years post surgery!
