I think any exchange student who doesn’t join any clubs or sports is setting themselves up for a much less exciting experience. I joined swim which was fun and then did the musical which is where I ended up having the best time and making my best friends. Through my choir (was a class) we also did a trip to Disneyland so these activities can sometimes even let you travel a bit. Most HS offer so many activities I’m sure there’s something for everyone
