HOA can only stand at roadside to inspect your house from the front, they cant even walk onto your property to look at anything they cant even knock on your door to question you about HOA, ALL has to be done by roadside ONLY. Look at your HOA rules make sure you get a paper copy so cant change it and then LAWYER UP!!
