i take neither for period cramps. i take Midol! it’s made specifically for period cramps and other period symptoms. i use the caffeine free version but the regular one is caffeinated 🥰 also for anyone with GERD or bad acid reflux, ibuprofen or any NSAID will flare it up badly so take a PPI like omeprazole or at least Tums!!

My uterus laughs at ibuprofen as it continues to 🔪 me. I take midol or pampering along with ibuprofen & it doesn’t help much. Endometriosis is the devil. 😩

What about the people that can’t take NSAIDs? I have epilepsy and hypertension, I’m not aloud to take any NSAIDs due to medicine interactions.

Is there a difference between ibuprofen and naproxen? (I took naproxen for the first time when it was prescribed for my IUD insertion and even the OTC dose seems to work slightly better for me than ibuprofen; just curious why since they’re both NSAIDs)

Ibuprofen is not a pain relief method for an IUD insertion. Everything went black when I got an IUD.

Aleve/Naproxen works way better IMO. I had never even taken it until the hospital gave it to me following my daughter’ birth. It was a game changer
