If she doesn't have a contract she doesn't have to pay. If they pull it all out they have to make her whole again and build her stuff back the way it was. Demo and replacement could cost just as much, probably walk away and fire someone.

No contract = no pay, but if the company can prove you were aware of this accident before it was finished and didn’t try to stop it a court could find you partially liable for the cost
