Because.
The teachers don't want anybody to record the stuff that they're doing to the children.

When I was younger nobody needed a cell phone to get in touch with the kids. This is done because these younger parents have raised their children on cellphones and tablets so they don’t have to be bothered by them which is why these kids are so addicted. From being raised on technology

That is infringing on your right. You paid for that device and paid for the service. You don't have to give it up. Nowhere.

Such a waste of money. Our school had a $5 shoe slot by the door - drop your phone in when you walk into class. Save the $10,000 per school - it’s ridiculous

ok umm I can see the point and that's smart... however the high schools are so hard to get a hold of when it comes to getting your kids out early... they don't answer phones and they act like they real busy... so then when I call my kid they just get a pass and leave to the office so here is when they need that phone.

We had them last school year. They can open them. Kids had them broke the first 5 minutes. Don’t believe everything.

This is awesome! I know there are a lot of things that kids do with their phones during class and in between class, but I think they’ll realize that life is much better for them also. This has been a long time coming.

Cell phones are such a distraction. Be a teacher and know what they are dealing with. I’m glad they r doing this

We used these in our district. Sadly, by 1/2 way through the semester they get lost and are not being used. Total waste of money. You want kids to truly focus? Give real grades. Hace accountability. Do what elite schools do.

...look first hand I had to live without a cellphone back in the early 2000s. I would have been safer with it. A lot of people got away with harming me because I didn't have that. If I have a kid they will never be without it.
