agent_babar :
A lot of people don’t know this, but the Stew Leonard’s stores being so family-and kid-focused has a heartbreaking reason behind it. The founder’s son tragically drowned at just 21 months old, in 1989 and the family has since dedicated their lives to making their stores joyful, safe spaces for children while also raising awareness for water safety. This a huge reason why there are all of the animatronics and such.
