No, they do it because Asuka's name sells tickets. WWE, for a long time now, has been a immediate gratification company where they don't promote for long term gains anymore by keeping things a surprise and instead opt for BUY TICKETS, SEE THIS NOW! It's just 2 different philosophies in promotion. I agree with you though, that surprise returns or debuts are the best for us as fans, but you gotta see that it's not always best for WWE financially.

They didn’t even give us closure for the end of Damage Control. A triple threat or fatal fourway at Summerslam could have been it EASILY especially with the QOTR matches
