@mykindamum: I’ll go first… Both my kids have gone through total food rejection phases - not interested in eating anything and when they did eat, they’d be “finished” after just a few bites. Super stressful!! 😣 But one thing that worked a charm with both of them is the reverse psychology game… I’d point out a piece of food on their plate and say “that’s Mummy’s piece of broccoli, don’t you eat that, ok? I’m just going to go over here for a sec and when I come back, I want my broccoli, so don’t eat it!” Then wander off or look away for a sec, happily whistling, and almost every time - they pop it straight in their mouth! So then you look back and perform an overdramatic “HEY!! That was MY broccoli! Where did it go?! Oh you little monkey!” which they find hilarious and usually want to do it again. Before you know it, the whole plate’s cleared 🙌🏻 Downside is, sometimes they want you to do it through the whole meal for EVERY meal, but when the choice is nutrients being consumed or nothing being consumed, I’ll take the extra effort.
