i think no morning classes is good bc you also have time to study/review for tests and prep before the class which is something i didn’t think about until i was up at 5 am last min reviewing for my 8 am test 😭

i would say don’t go in debt just to be in greek life. if you can afford it then do it but txst has other orgs for cheap like txst dsweets or darlings! this can be advice for anyone attending 😇

You’re gonna hate the later classes😭 I wouldn’t necessarily recommend super early classes but it’s definitely nice to be done by 5! Especially when the time changes it’ll be dark by 6

I was on the fence about going through recruitment, I didn’t want to sign up, get outfits, or anything but I’m so glad I did- you will not regret it, I’ve met so many great girls💞💞

The EXACT same thing happened with me and my dorm/roommate situation so I feel you… Also! I highly recommend going through recruitment it was the BEST decision ever— I went to TXST not knowing anyone and I met my best friends during/because of recruitment!! Registration is so much easier than other schools you hear about (you could literally sign up the day before) & recruitment is over a weekend so it’s really chill!!!! You’re going to have so much fun either way, TXST is such a good school. 💛💛

My biggest tip to not go home/stay in your room the first month or two! The start of college is the best time to meet people and try things (going home will make you not want to go back if you haven’t found a good group)

Greek life has genuinely changed my life so much! I was also nervous about it but I wouldn’t have met my best friends if I hadn’t gone through, I met my best friend in my RC group! You also get the opportunity to be apart of an organization bigger than yourself! I cannot say this enought but GO GREEK!!

I hope you have a great time! Here’s my advice as im now on my 3rd year here: take some time during move in week to walk around the campus and familiarize yourself with each building. You can find some really great hidden study spots doing this too!

Sometimes it’s nice to have a roommate that you don’t know because you guys have small talks and talk here and there but then it’s mostly quiet so you both get that kind of quiet time without having to always almost like entertain each other. I didn’t know my roommate going into my freshman year. I loved her whenever we did chat. They were great chats, but then we also kind of mind our business and just lived and respected each other space that’s great.
