As a single guy…this just tells me we’re not compatible. I have better things to do with my energy and time. I totally respect your alone time because we all need that, however at the very beginning we’re trying to see if we’re compatible at all. So As an example…if at the very beginning you say…I don’t take calls after 9 because that’s your me time…that just tells me I won’t be a part of your “me” time. So we won’t have a long term relationship. That also tells me you’re a very strong and independent woman…which is perfectly fine. Just don’t expect me to share my energy and time when you’re having a terrible day and want to rely on me to be there to listen to you and support you. My time and energy is also a privilege, especially if you play that game with me. Texting during working hours…totally acceptable…everyone has to pay bills. I just don’t get the games, but maybe that’s why I’m single! Lol but I’m an old school type of relationship guy.

Sooo let’s put it like this . I just get hired by a company and my manager tells me to never knock on his door if it is closed. Let’s say we work in sales and the biggest contract shows up and asks to speak to the manager. I do exactly as I am told. Should I be fired? Or should I be coached on the rigidity or fluidity of a specific boundary. This is why I think men should respond with the same energy and just leave women alone.

When I was in the military. During boot camp we were required to fold our shirts a certain way. It was a fairly simple task. Someone asked our TI why we have to fold the shirts a certain way. The TI looked him dead in the eyes and said, "Son if you can't follow simple instructions on folding a shirt, how in the hell am I going to trust you with a fighter jet worth millions of dollars." Lesson learned and still followed. She's not playing games. I know it kind of comes off that way, but the boundary is her real boundary. She doesn't make up a new one for each new date. These type of things need to come up in conversation when on those dates. Then we can make decisions on moving forward or becoming "friends". Be nice, be respectful and be truthful.

I told a woman that rather talk at the end of the day so we have stuff to talk about. And because of my busy days it’s hard to communicate during the work day . She told me if I’m willing to wait all day it shows I can’t communicate and that she wants to feel like she is apart of my day . So it wouldn’t work

I used to always say that about no contact after 9pm before I give out my phone #. Guys actually always treated that with respect and got it. I just say I turn off my phone to start getting ready for bed. Perfectly reasonable.
