so i was always taught that olaplex is put in the lightener because when you lighten hair you’re breaking down the bonds in the hair therefore you put the olaplex in the lightener. is that not correct?

Interesting. I used to go to a stylist who would always put Olaplex in bleach. I’m not a stylist but I find hair science so fascinating.

I've only ever bleached and dyed my own hair and I prefer the bond builders in my fashion colors. bleach is meant to open the bonds to strip the color why would I want to remind them before I add the brights

Personally, as someone who used to just be bleached, toned, and the real color that went into my hair was my shadow root. I feel like it worked better when it was put my my toner rather than my lightener🫢 it could just be me but this is what I *felt* better in my hair.

So not just awesome at what ya do….also just a genuine fucking human 🖤 not many would care to reduce the time spent especially since the time is how the client is charged. That speaks a lot on your character imo. Hopefully folks didn’t skip over that gem!
